Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is the sequel to Super Mario Land for the Game Boy. The 25-year-old game flew under the radar but was considered substantially better than the first game. This was due to its much more efficient use of the Game Boy's capabilities. Even then, the game is not without flaws, which is why the fanmade Super Mario Land 2 DX has been released.

In Super Mario Land 2, Mario has to reclaim his castle. Though not from Bowser, but from Wario! Wario had placed a magic seal on the castle, and the only way to break the seal is to collect the six golden coins. This was Wario's debut for the Super Mario family, and would even become the protagonist of Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land.

Super Mario Land 2 DX is a "ROM Hack" of the original Super Mario Land 2. This modified version of the game adds full-color graphics, resolves input delay, and even includes Luigi as a unique playable character.

This game is a nostalgic bliss for many gamers, and Super Mario Land 2 DX is absolutely a product of love. To get a ROM of this version of the game, you can visit their ROMHacking page.
