It seems like it's all the rage for retro games to release on older consoles. Lately, the Dreamcast has been falling under this pattern, and soon won't be the Famicom. Known as the NES in the West, the Famicom was born in the early '80s and has been known to be a complete breakthrough for video gaming. Thanks to the information from Nintendo Life, Columbus Circle--a Japanese gaming accessory company--is bringing the system back to life with the announcement of a new game titled 8Bit Music Power.
Truth be told, this is a less a game and more a cartridge stuffed with twelve 8-bit tunes "grooving" to a visualizer. That said, $30 sounds expensive for its price, but that is the deemed price of the "game," set for release in Japan on January 31, 2016. Even though I've never heard of this, apparently this game is in such high demand in the West, so perhaps there will be a Western release sometime in the future for the NES.
