Bethesda has been keeping players up to date with their development every week in the Inside the Vault blog. The last few posts have all gravitated around an upcoming game mode, known as Survival. This PvP focused mode removes some of the player combat restrictions, allowing for more on-edge player interactions.
In the Fallout 76 Subreddit, user Burtethead made a post, asking Bethesda to not allow characters to jump between Survival and Adventure modes. They believed that it would be easily exploitable, where players would gather rare and powerful supplies in the safety of Adventure mode, saving them for use in Survival mode.
Bethesda's community manager responded to the post, acknowledging the feedback and reassuring that they're still making changes to the upcoming mode. The comment is then edited to include an announcement.
"Hi everyone,
Thank you for all of the feedback so far on the details we posted about Survival mode earlier today! We'll make sure your thoughts about the mode here and in the future are shared with the dev team. The article mentions this already, but I wanted to restate that we're still iterating and actively working on Survival mode, so things aren't necessarily set in stone, and your continued feedback will be very important to us as we move toward beta, and eventually release.
This is also just the beginning of the conversation. We'll be looking to share more about the new mode with you in Inside the Vault, streams, and other means, and also talk more with you about what you'd like to see in Survival mode as we move forward.
Thanks and please keep the feedback coming!
EDIT: Were also seeing the thoughts being shared by those of you whod like to see more PVE content, and while I cant spoil any details just yet, I will say that Survival mode won't be the only new content coming to Fallout 76 in March, so stay tuned!"
As it currently stands, players can still jump between the two game modes, much against Burtethead's desires. But the announcement of new PvE (Player VS Environment) content has the non-competitive players more than excited. And such excitement is only fueled by the announcement that all of it will be coming in March.
Currently, the only speculation for what the new content would be is something regarding the other Vaults present in the game world. Said Vaults are currently locked away. Though this is just a guess. All we can do is wait and see.
