The expansion is set in Bar Harbor, which is one of Maine's super popular summer tourist destination. Personally speaking, it's a bit cramped out there, but there are a lot of good spots, including the nearby Acadia National Park. Apparently the location will be representing the largest landmass Bethesda has ever created for an expansion.
Here's the official story synopsis:
"In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"
Far Harbor in itself will include more quests and settlements. Additionally, there will be lethal creatures, higher-level armor and weapons, and more.
The expansion will be priced at $25, but it's included in the $50 Fallout 4 Season Pass.
It's also important to note that Bethesda has teased that Fallout 4 fans should be looking forward to more information about even more add-ons. I guess we should keep our eyes and ears peered toward E3.
Being a Mainer, I seriously wish the expansion was standalone, just so I could see what it's like.
