Well, while I personally don't mind, you can imagine there are people over at Bethesda who would rather Fallout 4 keep the attention of the gaming community. So for that reason--and others, Im sure--Bethesda announced just the other day the first DLC for Fallout 4, and gee, it looks like a real winner. Introducing: Automatron!
The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!
So while there's a plot and stuff, I think it's painfully obvious what Bethesda is really making here: a build your own companion expansion. And, all things considered, I think that's exactly what this community wants. Plus, it's another way to use scrap, so you can stop wasting your excess building material on expanding your phallic-shaped home.
Honestly? This looks cooler than the adds for the base game itself, in my opinion. Fallout 4 has officially gotten my attention, and it's not going to be hard to keep either, with a price as low as $9.99.
It's set to launch in March 22nd. So get those blueprints ready!
