Most everyone has a dream house. Mine isn't a mansion, but instead is a country-style home, that has a few rooms. Nothing too fancy, but comfortable. However, some people have dream homes with costs that exceed the wages/salaries of most people. That is when I find a home too lavish.

A video game developer managed to achieve his dream home - a $70 million mansion, the highest priced home in the Beverly Hills area. Markus "Notch" Persson, Swedish ex-lead designer of Minecraft before Microsoft took over, managed to seal the deal to own an $85 million-valued house, located on a promontory in the Trousdale Estates of Beverly Hills. The 23,000 square foot house includes a plethora of expensive furnishings and rooms - 8 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms that include $5,600-valued Toto Nerorest Toilets, an 18-foot Onyx dining room table with $3,700-valued chairs, a subterranean car showroom that allows room for up to 16 luxury vehicles, a 2,500 wine collection and room, 3 90-inch HDTVs, iPad-Controlled Fountains, an automated 54-foot curved glass door to a pool that overlooks all of Los Angeles, and finally, a $200,000-valued candy room that is modeled after Dylan's Candy Bar, complete with $50,000 worth of candy. It goes to show that video game development can generate income enough to purchase such items. Though the house sounds lovely, is the acquisition a step too far into luxury?

In my opinion, yes, I don't think any home should be purchased for that amount, especially with the candy room. Do you think Persson should have used the money for a different expense?
