Yesterday, Shiro Games has unveiled a juicy gameplay trailer for their upcoming game, Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder. The game, sequel to the 2013 release of Evoland, will cover far more elements than the previous game. Instead of boasting just RPG and action-adventure elements, this time around, the leap across the dimensional plane will accompany various genres and homages, ranging from RPG to Fighters... to... Match 3?

Quoting the excitement of Nicolas Cannage, Evoland creator:

"We are very excited to finally show our fans and new players alike what we've been working on for Evoland , as we're expanding on our original vision in a big way. Evoland 2 stays true to its classic RPG adventure roots but also offers a host of fantastic new additions, including more in-depth and longer play sessions that really add to the overall fun and leave a memorable experience."

Already, this seems incredibly exciting! Hopefully, the journey through the vivid Evoland 2 will at least be 10 or 20 times longer than the original, which was disappointingly short-lived. For those interested in the plot, Evoland 2 is about the Hero, who must defend the world, which has been strangely affected by time itself. Can our hero change the future of the world, with the aid of timeline travel, before doom sets?

Evoland 2 will release this summer for PC, with Mac and Linux to follow. You can preorder the game on the official site, DRM-free, for $17.99, 10% off the original fee of $19.99.
