Pokemon GO is out and available to play. I know this because it's my job as a video game journalist to know these things. But other than that, my social media feeds have exploded with Pokemon. Friends, family, and even vague acquaintances have been documenting late night treks for greatness and the resulting disappointment at finding only Pidgeys. I'm holding off on joining this party for as long as I can. Not because I dislike Pokemon, but because I have work to do. When given a choice between working and collecting Pokemon, I'm guaranteed to choose the latter every time. For the sake of my productivity, I have to hold off just a bit longer.
How many Psyducks does that guy need?
Of course, one of the first things the video brings to mind is the idea of children (and adults) rushing across the interstate for a digital smudge on their phones. Please remember to catch 'em all responsibly. Other than that, Pokemon Go looks fun as hell. It won't be long before I'm out in the middle of the woods, tracking down a Meowth or something. And when that happens, I'm sure I'll see you out there with me.
