Seems like the European forum Game QA and Localization will return for its third year, but in sunny Barcelona between June 29th and July 1st. Last year, 180 people met in London to discuss and listen to conversations and discussion of the how, when, and why of game implementation.

But this year, more people may attend, as a few notable companies will be arriving and sharing their insights: Blizzard, King, CCP Games, SEGA, Bigpoint, Rockstar Lincoln, and SCEE. The subject of automation will be a focus, but there will be an examination of the role and place that QA and localization have within game development.

In the modern gaming era, QA and localization are important in terms of quality, acting as selling points of games. The event will also explore the roles of QA "outsiders" and the internal/external perception that they are not as "critical to the end result." The companies and other attendees will also discuss important aspects like planning, budgeting, team culture, people management, best strategies, and automation, which all tie into the goal of raising expectations of QA and localization across all video game companies.

If you're a developer or into video game management and general business, this would be the perfect opportunity to attend the event. For those that wish to attend and can afford the trip, you can purchase a pass, which will include refreshments and conference lunches. Hurry though, because you can receive a discount of up to 400 euros if you register by March 31st. You can also pick up a brochure free of charge from this page.
