You know what would be a lot of fun in video gaming? Controlling eight characters at once in any game. But how can you do that? Well, you typically can't unless you break games like Smash Bros. with a glitch. The Wii U version of the title gives players this potential... well, when your controller desyncs. Forewarning, you're going to need to rely on your amiibo collection if you have one.
Here are the exact instructions, thanks to Destructoid:
1. Have eight amiibos.
2. Use a controller that can "desync" (GameCube controller is recommended)
3. Go to the 8-Player Smash mode.
4. Move the joystick until "Player #" or port space appears.
5. Click the name part of your port until it reads "None."
6. Remove your controller from the port or desync it.
7. Scan the amiibo.
8. Plug your controller back in.
9. Move the joystick again. This time, you'll be the Player in the next space after the scanned amiibo.
10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 until all spaces are filled.
11. Go to Settings and then exit.
That's all. You can then play as all eight, so if you're feeling like you want to have a Smash party with yourself, you can always battle yourself with a total of eight characters. Pretty cool, huh?
If you're not in the mood to party with yourself, you can instead to this with multiple people, creating an epic, messy, and chaotic brawl. The real question here is, "How in the world did this person find the glitch?"
