The game's creator recently filed a complaint with the North Carolina Federal Court accusing Brandon Lucas, known on YouTube as Golden Modz, for "copyright infringement, breach of contract, and tortious interference" by "injecting unauthorized cheat software ('cheats' or 'hacks') into the copyright protected code of [Fortnite]."
While Lucas is the main defendant in the case, Epic also cites Colton "Excentric" Conter as a second defendant.
"He posts videos of people using the cheats for the same reason. His ill-gotten gains come at the expense of Epic and members of the Fortnite community."
In their videos, the YouTubers refer to the cheating software as "magical powers." Though Lucas has been noticed for live streaming with stream titles containing words like "hacks" and "aimbot" in the past.
You'd think that after Epic Games sued a 14-year-old for doing the exact same thing, people would be less inclined to promote it so obviously.
