Paragon, the MOBA by Epic Games, never quite made it to launch. It was shut down in April. Fortunately, the game will live on through its assets, which are now publicly available for Unreal Engine developers. Don't worry about the cost, they're free.

In a recent post by the Unreal Engine website, 20 different characters, complete with skins, models, animations, sounds, and VFX are now available for free on the Unreal Engine Marketplace.

Epic said developers can use them in your own UE4 projects, with no strings attached, So expect to see them in everything from dating sims, to Five Nights at Freddy's fan games, to (unfortunately) Rule 34 content. Considering a hefty $12 million went into the game's production, it's good to see it going somewhere.

Epic Games has all of their current eggs in the Fortnite basket. You can't blame them, considering it's massive success. While it's unfortunate that Paragon didn't work out, I'm glad to see some final good being made of it.
