Transports are getting even larger in the popular intergalactic trade game, Elite: Dangerous. A new teaser trailer by developer Frontier Developments reveals the upcoming addition of fleet carriers and newcomer guidance.

The trailer itself, running about 30 seconds long, doesn't show much. All we see is a Battlestar Gastonia running away from the Cylon. But the developers revealed more information at Lavecon, a fan-made community event that took place this weekend in London.

Frontier explained that they are looking to bring a more welcoming experience to new players in an update marked for September. This includes a new program called the In-Ship Starter Experience, which will loan a newcomer a Sidewinder and guide them through essential pilot training by a flight instructor from the Pilots Federation. Here, the player will learn everything they need to know to travel through space.

If you've been thinking about joining the game, it sounds like this September is the time to do it.
