I recently noticed that EGX 2015 tickets are about to go on sale for the UK's largest gaming event and since we have a few readers from the UK, I figured it would be a good idea to announce it.

EGX is now in its 8th year and will be held at the NEC from September 24-27 of this year. As mentioned it is the largest gaming event in the UK with attendance numbers having gone past 80,000 in the past. There will be a few high profile game announcements here as well as playable PC, console and indie games. Of course there will be various developer sessions to boot.

This year, EGX is working with Yogscast to bring various YouTube personalities to the event who will do a bit of a show and tell on how to create good YouTube gaming videos.

Mark Turpin, CEO of Yogscas had this to say;

"We're thrilled to be supporting the UK's number one games event. This year at EGX the Yogscast team will be producing extensive content, meeting fans and passing on our YouTube skill and knowledge".

David Lilley, Managing Director of Gamer Events, also added;

This years EGX will be the biggest games event in UK history, both in terms of scale and scope. For consumers this means over 1000 screens of playable games, a boatload of insightful developer sessions, upwards of 10 headline features such as Yogscasts showing, eSports, cosplay and more. For exhibitors, EGX offers the perfect platform to engage with customers, announce products and showcase the latest game developments. Were very excited about our new home at the NEC, which means EGX is now in the perfect location; the heart of the UK.

Tickets will go on sale on www.egx.net at 11:00 GMT on Friday, 20th March.
