Early Access' Crash Dummy Offers You the Chance to Be More Than a Subject

A test subject, anyway.

To live the life of a crash test dummy sounds brutal. Everyday, for hours on end, you're thrown continuously into simulated accidents--sure, you can't feel anything, but what if you had emotions? Or even better: what if your life as a crash test dummy changed for the better? What if you, the crash test dummy, can be the ultimate hero?

Well, Twelve Games' Crash Dummy, which has launched today on Steam's Early Access, envisions this dream. The evil D-TROIT--

D-TROIT... oh I see. I get it.

Anyway D-TROIT, being so evil, has kidnapped MIA, the Advisor's daughter. As CID, the crash test dummy infused with heroic powers, you must save MIA and bring peace to the Advisor. With access to three super moves--blast, burn and freeze--you must take on the challenging 2D elements, pulling off stylish Ninja Skills and long jumps to disorient and defeat foes or blow past them.

The goal is to sneak through security--if you're caught, you can always activate the Panic Attack ability, which destroys all enemies in the vicinity at once. To maintain a diverse atmosphere, there will also be multiple enemy types with their own movesets, so you best learn them to defeat them.

The full-controller supported title will be on Early Access, as the developers want take the opportunity to optimize gameplay, squash bugs, and listen to the feedback of fans. Crash Dummy can be purchased now on Steam for $9.99 / £7.99 / 8,99 / 249 pуб, though you can take advantage of the 15% discount until September 18, 2015.
