EA Reveals All Future Battlefield 1 Expansions

It'll cost you an arm and a leg, though.

Battlefield 1’s first DLC, “They Shall Not Pass”, which adds new maps, weapons, tanks, and elite classes to the game is coming soon, and people are pretty excited. The omission of the French in the base game was something some people found quite contentious, and while people might have different opinions on DLC in general, we can at least agree this addition is a welcome one.

But, one DLC pack hardly brings value to all those Season Pass holders, and now, EA has finally revealed more information about the other three DLC packs that will be included in said pack, and… it’s pretty much what you’d expect, particularly when you consider all the events and battles in World War 1 that Battlefield hasn’t even touched yet.

The second DLC following “They Shall Not Pass” will be “In the Name of the Tsar”, which, if it wasn’t obvious, will focus on the Russian army and the eastern front, bringing some snow-themed maps. The third expansion, “Turning Tides”, will add a greater emphasis on naval combat, and include maps based on the Zeebrugge raid, the Gallipoli offensive (which was actually featured in the base game in the single-player mode) and more. The final expansion, appropriately called “Apocalypse”, will focus on the war’s most brutal battles and insane weapons.

Pretty exciting, right? Well, while we wait for that, there’s still the free Winter update which brought new level caps and ribbons to enjoy, as well as They Shall Not Pass, which will launch on the 14th for Premium Pass players, and March 28th for non-premium players.

Right around the corner, if you’re a premium holder.

Again, you can say what you want about EA going crazy with the microtransactions (they certainly have) but I still think this is a rather enticing offer. Not enough to shell out 60 bucks for a season pass, but enticing nonetheless.
