Well, EA's Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch a little bit at the UBS Global Technology Conference. The future of the Switch is unknown right now. We have absolutely no idea how well the system will perform, and neither does Blake. He said:

Were excited for Nintendo, its an interesting device, but I cant yet predict how broad its going to be, and will people be interested in a portable device alongside their regular portable device that they have.

I'm curious to see what game EA will be bringing to Nintendo's table, and they're not ready to tell us yet. All we know is that we should expect one of EA's bigger titles. I'm not sure what that means and I have no idea when the actual reveal of the game will be, but for now I'll just leave you with one more quote from Blake.

In terms of Nintendo, in their announcement they announced that well be supporting with a game or two on that new platform. We havent yet announced what game, but you should assume that its one of our bigger games weve been involved with.

If the Switch is able to pull some major titles out, it might be a very successful console. If, for some reason, nobody wants to put in the time to make releases for the Switch then it could be a very rocky road for Nintendo. It really all comes down to them making console sales and persuading companies that the Switch is worth their time and effort. Hopefully we can figure out more during the full reveal of the Switch on January 12th.
