Well, that day hasn't really come, but EA has found itself on the spotlight for another recent success, the rising popularity of Battlefield 1, and thus it's kind of inevitable that as it keeps talking, details for related projects would spill out.
In a conference call earlier today, EA CEO Andrew Wilson had this to share:
"We feel we actually have a really strong position to deliver the broadest set of gameplay mechanics as it relates to [the] first-person shooter genre across the two titles and feel very confident that we are well-positioned to do very well in that category in the year. Certainly you see the reception around Battlefield 1; we feel very good about that. The energy around Titanfall 2 is also building very nicely. We look forward to showing you more of both of those titles at EA Play in June."
He then followed up so say that Titanfall 2 would be out sometime later this year, between November and December--after Battlefield 1's October 21 release date. They went on to say that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released later yet, in early 2017.
So, we got Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the span of a few months. That's quite the line-up! Now if only EA could be less evil, we might have something to be excited about.
