E3 Roundup: Sony

The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII, Shenmue III... Yeah, it won.

Oh Sony, how you tug on the hearts of many, tease us for years and force your fans to pine after many games.

But this year, you delivered with more trailers, more reveals, and so many bombshells that it might just have blown all other E3s out of the park.

To put it simply. Sony steamrolled all over conferences, hands down. I'm fairly certain this is universally agreed upon. So without further ado, here is, quite possibly, the most exciting line-up of any E3 ever.

First of all...

The Tearaway Unfolded 2015 E3 trailer has debuted, complete with pirate themes!

But more importantly...

TheLastGuardianhasbeenannounced!

If you want to read more on the announcement of The Last Guardian, which I'm sure you do, it's best you click on the article link here. Like, right now.

Next comes a new franchise by Guerrilla Games, titled Horizon Zero Dawn. This new IP appears to establish the link between man and machine. You are a hunter facing robotic dinosaurs. Just that statement alone spells winner. Complete your hunts with various weapons like bones, blades, and guns, and you can hunt down dinosaurs, even going so far as to tie them down and knock them over.

By Square Enix comes Hitman for the console and PC, but six exclusive contracts will remain on the PlayStation 4.

Yes, we get to catch a sneak peak at the console exclusive of Street Fighter V! The very first public beta for gamers begins July 23. Hooray!

Then comes the return of No Man's Sky. You can do whatever you'd like, explore anything on the planet. Document your locations, check out the wildlife, do whatever! (Editor's Note: Unfortunately, for me, it feels a little too vast.)

Media Molecule aims to scratch our heads. With what though? Dreams. The point? As in, you can invade each other's dreams--experience and explore each dream. How it works is thus: use the controller to sketch, paint, and sculpt your dream to life. You can collaborate with other players in order to establish a beautiful or chaotic piece of work. After you are done with your creation, you can breathe it to life via puppeteering with the controller. Whether from pianists to polar bears, to flying jetbikes, to zombies, your imagination holds the key to creating an enjoyable masterpiece.
(Editor's Note: I definitely need the rock version of Row Row Row Your Boat in my life.)

Then there is Firewatch, a charming exploration game that focuses on survival. Rely on your walkie talkie to communicate. But what turns from explorative to dark is the message of someone watching you.

Next comes the official E3 trailer for The Taken King. Oryx is quite upset that you cleaved his son in twain, and he vows revenge upon you. Hopefully there would be a little more story than the main game itself, but it's best to look more forward to the new subclasses and super moves, raids, and strikes. (Editor's Note: I'm excited for the hunter's bow super.) The expansion will release September 15, 2015. Collector's Editions for The Taken King are available

Again, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is shown, but this time with more of a focus on Evie. She is the eldest of the twins, and she definitely appears more skilled than her younger brother. However, she also utilizes the cane and the classic throwing knife. I definitely prefer Jacob's arsenal, in this case.

Well, you can't get much cuter than World of Final Fantasy, featuring a combination of miniature Final Fantasy characters and monsters and the art direction of Kingdom Hearts. (Editor's Note: Seriously, I thought it was Kingdom Hearts III for a moment) This title will be exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and the Vita sometime in 2016.

And then the next huge grenade launcher:

The Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive on PlayStation 4 first!

And all PlayStation 4s will have sold out around that time. When is the release date? No idea. But it IS happening.

And the third bomb:

Shenmue's story was left incomplete, but there is hope. In fact, Shenmue 3 could happen with the help of Kickstarter. Obviously, it will be funded considering it's already halfway through the goal, so look forward to the title on the PlayStation 4 and PC with a tentative release date of December 2017.

The Scarecrow DLC for Arkham Knight has been revealed. Honestly, the trailer is kind of demented, with the amount of agony innocents face.  Actually, scratch that: the trailer is incredibly demented. But wait, Batman dies!?

Project Morpheus will support Eve Valkyrie, World War Toons, Wayward Sky and many more games.

PlayStation Vue will be available in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Even better--you can now subscribe to individual channels without a bundle purchase.

Activision and PlayStation have established a partnership to bring Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. All map packs and the multiplayer beta will be available for PlayStation first. Of course, it is multiplayer. The game promises to feel different from any other Call of Duty. Seems like it will contain a lot of action, like usual, but even more so?

Disney Infinity 3.0 will feature Star Wars, which we've already seen coming.

Again comes the return of Battlefront, but for the PlayStation 4 audience.

Last, but not least is Uncharted 4! Here's the E3 exclusive gameplay right here. It looks gorgeous as ever. This game is just full of surprises and it hasn't even been released!

The tension, the music, the banter, I just love it. I've never played any of the other games, but now I want to.

Game. Set. Match. With wave after wave of exciting announcements, Sony has taken E3 by the horns and dragged it into the ground. Do you believe this is E3's best conference of 2015? What is your favorite moment?

Below, of course, is the awesome press conference:
