EA isn't playing it slow with their Sims 4 panel at this year's EA Play event at E3. Right from the start, they've announced the next expansion to their popular life simulation game. Introducing Sims 4: Island Living.

As the name implies, Island Living takes the game into the soft sand and lush forest of a tropical island. Sims can build sandcastles, swim in the beach, ride jet skis, play with dolphins, and more.

The expansion introduces the new island of Selani. Here, the locals will live between the beach, jungle, and even an active volcano. While many simply live here to take in the sun, others make this a home by becoming fishermen, lifeguards, or even a conservationist.

A Sim's goal can be to clean and improve the natural world of the island. From testing chemicals, cleaning trash, and leading conservation efforts, the players can guide their own ecology crew. As the island is cleaned and cared for, it will evolve and change into something more beautiful.

You can also meet the Elementals. Much like ghosts, these non-corporeal entities live on the island, being a manifestation of the natural world of the island.

Like with any expansion, Island Living comes with a slew of new outfits, furniture, and characters.

The same announcement also concluded with a teaser for the next Sims 4 pack they have planned. All they've said is "Realm of Magic." Expect more details about this in the fall.

Sims 4 Island Living will be available for PC on June 21, and Consoles on June 16. The expansion costs $39.99 on release. For more information, visit the official webpage.
