Elder Scrolls: Blades, Bethesda's action RPG mobile game, had proven it's worth when it released in early access not long ago. But it can't stay that way forever. Not only is the free-to-play title getting a hefty new update right now, it's officially coming to Nintendo Switch.

To kick off Bethesda's E3 press event, Todd Howard appeared to expand on their intentions for Elder Scrolls: Blades. They saw how well it did and the want to see it grow. To make that happen, they announced a new major update, which adds more jobs, a Solo Arena, a jewelry crafting system, and a new dragon quest line, to the game. And in a bit of a surprise, it's available right now.

They also announced the game's first expedition onto the next platform. Elder Scrolls: Blades will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. Like the mobile game, it will be free to play, have microtransactions, and will have cross-save functionality.

Blades will be releasing on Nintendo Switch sometime this fall.
