While there have been quite a few impressive AAA game announcements, we should keep our indie developers in mind. There have been some great indie game announcements, including the Ominux-developed and Chucklefish-published Dwarf-Fortress-in-space title, Starmancer:
Kind of gives off a vibe of Stardew Valley intertwined with Dwarf Fortress and Subnautica, doesn't it? You'll be able to birth your own colony, complete with tools sustaining life. However, while that may be a somewhat simple task, keep in mind that you're dealing with the elements of space. Yes, this includes diseases, space pirates, aliens, and more.
Starmancer will be having a closed beta soon; the only way to access this is to preorder the title for $35.
