Get Jiggy with it! Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the popular Nintendo fighting game for the Switch will be a bit larger this Fall, if only Bearly. Banjo-Kazooie is joining the fight!
Announced at the tail end of the official E3 Nintendo Direct, the big bear Banjo and his feathered friend will be joining the Smash Bros roster as the third official DLC fighter.
Banjo represents a historical line of 3D platforming games. And that homage isn't taken lightly. Every inch of design has been carefully chosen to best represent the franchise. We see Kazooie's well-known egg shooting skill, the sprinting mechanic, the jump pads, flying, and more. Not to mention his final smash, which berates the enemy in a swarm of Jinjos.
Banjo was one of, if not THE most requested DLC fighters. People have been asking for him as far back as the Smash Ballot they held for Super Smash Bros for the Wii U. Now those dreams can come true when Banjo releases this Fall.
Banjo was announced in the same Direct that announced the second DLC fighter, Dragon Quest's Hero. You can find more information on them in our official post about it.
The update will include Banjo, a new stage, and new music. He is part of the Smash Bros Fighter Pass, which will include 5 different fighters over time. The Fighter Pass is available now for $24.99.
