The team behind Dual Universe has been hard at work. Not only are they building their massive space game, but they are also waist deep into their Kickstarter campaign. Speaking of crowdfunding, they are well more than halfway to their goal. To celebrate, they released another Dev Diary about their crafting system. Check it out.

But can I make my own planet?

So far, we've seen the voxel crafting in practice. They've shown us how to build a spaceship with ease. This time, the video takes us behind the scenes. It appears that the goal of the building system is to be simultaneously simple and complicated. Different shapes can be lined up and connected to make pretty much anything. However, more advanced players will be able to take advantage of some pretty in-depth functionality to make some really impressive landmarks. It is also nice to see the Dual Universe system can also affect the ground. I imagine that will make it much easier to clear out a plot of land to build our scale models of Coruscant.
