The guys behind the viral hit "Drone Star Wars," Rotor Riot, will be joining the world's first drone race broadcast. The team is hopping onto the DR1 Invitational as co-producer alongside DR1 Racing. Many of the world's top drone pilots are coming together to compete for the staggering $30,000 top prize. In fact, several of the pilots from "Drone Star Wars" will either be competing, except for Mr. Steele Davis, who is hosting the even itself.

Justice isn't the only thing reigning from above

Presented by Mountain Dew, the DR1 Invitational will livestream on Twitch on June 25th and 26th. Set up on the Sepulveda Dam in Los Angeles, California, pilots will have to navigate around obstacles at speeds over 80 MPH. With intentions to create buzz about this new, possible pastime, DR1 Racing and Rotor Riot will be releasing content between now and the event to generate hype. Be sure to keep an eye out for the DR1 Invitational on Twitch to get a taste of hot, drone racing action. Maybe next year, they'll have rockets.
