Point-and-click adventure games can be either incredibly fun or incredibly frustrating, depending on the puzzle, situation, and game itself, and those that love the genre should be happy to know that Elansar & Philia, a new point-and-click adventure game from Germany-based Hucast Games will be available in English on August 10, 2015.

To delve a bit farther into Elansar, players must explore an island and solve puzzles that would lead to the answer of an island's mystery. As Elina, you must save your endangered husband by utilizing your subconscious. Elansar & Philia are separate games--Philia is actually the sequel to Elansar -- and both games offer exploration of three worlds with over fifteen puzzles.

But what platforms are they for?

Here are the hints: They are not for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Wii U. They're not even for the previous generation.

The region free titles are coming to the Dreamcast, though the games were previously released for the Jaguar CD. So if you somehow still have your Dreamcast in working condition, now's the time to bust it out and dust it off for the upcoming adventure!

There is only one version of Elansar & Philia, which contains the following features:
  • 640 x 480 Highres Resolution and In-game full motion video
  • 360 degrees Panorama (Philia only)
  • Mouse support
  • The game will support TVs with 480p, RGB Cables, S-Video, or VGA.
Elansar & Philia, which are wrapped together, can be pre-ordered for 32,95 EUR at the Hucast shop and will release August 10, 2015. It's great to see the Dreamcast and other retro consoles still alive and kicking, isn't it?

If you'd like to check out the screenshots, you can do so here. Admittedly, the screenshots are incredibly pretty (especially in comparison to the Jaguar version) and remind you of the Dreamcast's power in the past. Unfortunately, the retro console was just too advanced for its time.
