After a number of technical issues with the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta event this weekend, Bandai Namco has announced a second open beta and its happening tonight!

"Greetings DRAGON BALL FighterZ,

As promised, we are back with info on an additional open beta test with improvements to the experience. Open Beta Starts Jan 17, 2018 at 9:00pm PST and ends Jan 18, 2018 at 9:00pm PST (24hrs)

We look forward to seeing you online once again!"

This time the beta will only last one day, starting tonight and ending tomorrow evening. It sounds like the issues that plagued the first beta have been resolved for this version. Since the issues were server-side, you should be able to use the previous beta client to play this one.

The purpose of beta sessions is usually to address and resolve issues with the game. Technically speaking that makes the first one a complete success. The purpose of this second one appears to be more for making the fans happy than it is about refining the game. Either way, we get one more day of DBfZ, so I can't complain.
