DOTA: Dragon’s Blood was fine. Nothing to get excited about, but if you’ve got nothing better to watch, it’s a perfectly serviceable fantasy jaunt with a few names and faces that fans of the game will certainly appreciate. And while it may have failed to muster any excitement for the game itself — word is that DOTA 2 didn’t even see a noticeable spike in new users after the anime’s launch, probably because it did very little to sell you on how unique or fun the world could be — it appears to have done well enough to at least warrant a second season.

This comes to us from a tweet by Netflix Geeked, which teased book two with a still of a new character who’s apparently joining the cast. It meant nothing to me, but who knows — maybe DOTA 2 fans will get it.

Anyway, that’s the long and the short of it. There’s no release date, no other information, and all we really know is that it’s “in the works”. The only other thing to say adjacent to this is that apparently, the DOTA 2 documentary, which was always on Youtube, is now also on Netflix — virtually untouched, save for the credits sequence, which was apparently remixed somewhat.

And yep, that’s the whole story.
