Dota 2 fans were treated to an announcement before E3--a special one they've been waiting for. Last week Valve announced Dota 2 Reborn, which is a Source 2 rebuilt version of the original Dota 2. Today, the beta has released for Dota 2 reborn, complete with improved graphics, a major UI overhaul, and other additional features.

One notable feature is Custom Games, where players can make their own games however they choose. This would invoke a creative side from players. Additionally, in the Reborn beta, players' cosmetic items, friends, MMR, and match history are shared with main game. Ranked Matchmaking isn't available, but Valve plans to release that in a few days.

For now, players can breathe a sigh of relief that they won't be forced to upgrade to the Reborn beta. However, that status could change when the full version is released "sometime after The International."

The Reborn beta is completely open and downloadable for everyone. All you need to do is head on over to this page here.

If you want a rundown or a preview of Reborn, you can refer to the following video:

Honestly, the UI is crisp and clean, and very easy to navigate through. I highly doubt Dota 2 will leave fans disappointed.
