This here is your casual reminder that DOOM Crossing/Animal DOOM is on the horizon - as in, the launch day of DOOM Eternal, DOOM 64, and Animal Crossing. Yeah, all three titles are launching on March 20, 2020, and while we could be here talking all day about the long-awaited Animal Crossing and DOOM Eternal, I rather just bring your attention to DOOM 64.

Why?

Because, while this upcoming port lets many experience the 1997 Nintendo 64 FPS for the very first time, veterans will be able to also enjoy something new alongside the Nightdive Studios-presented nostalgia - a shiny, fresh chapter.

Below is a quote regarding this chapter from the interview between Nightdive Studios and USGamer. Please note that this quote contains spoilers, if you care:

"On our end, persistent players will have the opportunity to unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy's saga, taking place shortly after [Doom 64's] original campaign concludes. The Mother Demon you defeated in that outing had a sister, and since you've been messing up Hell non-stop, she tries to get rid of you by sending you away. If you can make your way back and take revenge, you'll be rewarded with a bit of lore that fans of both series, new and classic, should enjoy."

So yeah, look forward to that when it launches!

You can read the entire interview on USGamer.net.

DOOM 64 is set for release on March 20, 2020 at a price of $4.99 on the Switch, though the console and PC versions will include the title with copies of DOOM Eternal.
