Yes, you read the title correctly: a Doom 2 mod has been released, throwing you straight into a 64-player battle royale. Who needs Fortnite when the classics are doing the same thing, right? Thanks to Retrodex Gaming, every classic FPS player's dream is becoming a reality.

The one map that they have created to support the larger game type is a culmination of three other maps from the Doom universe. If you have any issues with the current battle royale tactic of camping in Fortnite and PUBG, Retrodex has a solution for that. After a player has died, they then have the option to spawn into the map as one of the classic Doom enemies, a dream come true for all the Zombiemen fanboys and girls.

The game is currently still in its early stages and can only be played against bots. Retrodex does plan on expanding this idea with more maps and more polish in the future, so keep an eye out.
