Vampyr, the WWI era RPG by Life is Strange's Dontnod Entertainment, will be getting a television adaption by Fox 21. The studio will be assisted by Wonderland Sound & Vision and DJ2 Entertainment.

Vampyr follows the story of Dr. Jonathan Reid, a British surgeon for London during the first World War. Reid is infected with the Vampire disease, forcing him to manage his own carnal drive while trying to fight against a lethal plague of the flu. CEO Oskar Guilbert spoke about the recent TV deal in an official statement:

We believe it is a fantastic premise for a television show. This is a new and exciting way for fans of the game, as well as the uninitiated, to enter and engage with Vampyr's rich, deep story. We cannot wait to see how the talented team at Fox21 will bring out the darkly atmospheric universe of our game into television.

Fox 21 is best known for their work on Sons of Anarchy and Homeland. Additionally, Wonderland Sound & Vision, founded by McG, the director of Charlie's Angels, will be producing the series. Finally, DJ2 is co-producing Vampyr, which also co-produced the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, as well as the Life is Strange TV adaption.

Vampyr is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
