Here is quite the interesting tidbit:

In a mysterious turn of events - one that is possibly associated with the upcoming release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Nintendo Switch - it seems as if Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U has disappeared from the eShop and in the browser shop. According to a Reddit user on the Games subreddit, the platformer is still is available to redownload if you've already purchased it on the Wii U, but it remains missing from the eShop. On Nintendo's website, you are only allowed the option to purchase the title physically.

Furthermore, this happenstance is reportedly only occuring in North America. This is quite strange, considering no other Wii U port has been pulled from the digital shelves. Is this a way to cull purchases on the Wii U shop, considering that DKC: Tropical Freeze is only $19.99?

That is a question. It could also be a bug too, so fingers are crossed.

We'll update you when something of note occurs.
