Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a Blink Based Mobile Game

Ready to pick up the pieces of history? A new Doctor Who mobile game is coming. And this time, its based on one of their most famous episodes: Blink.

Were talking about Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins. The game is a found phone style experience developed for Android and iOS by Kaigan Games, the same people that did Simulacra and Sara is Missing (two rather successful games of the same genre).



The Lonely Assassins takes place a little while after the event of the Blink episode. For those unfamiliar, this episode featured a number of strange statues of angels with their faces in their hands. When theyre not being observed, they will rapidly chase after a target. When observed however, they dont move. The idea was that you cant blink while looking at them, or theyd get you.

The mobile game follows UNIT expert Osgood as they investigate the events of the Blink episode. The player will scour through data files, lost media, and other faux-phone features to uncover the mystery of what happened.

You wont have to wait too long to play, either. Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins releases on March 19, 2021. The developers are offering story, fan, and poster packs, should they get enough people to pre-register to download the game on release. More information can be found on the official website.
