As the title says, Dishonored 2 comes out tomorrow in "early access," and the hype surrounding this highly anticipated sequel for a critically acclaimed game is staggering. It's something Bethesda has been playing with for a very long time, but if all this excitement will live up to a truly memorable, amazing product? We'll have to find out tomorrow. But while you gnaw at the bit to get our hands on this next exciting step into the Dishonored world, there are two things you should know about the upcoming game: the first, and perhaps easiest to show off, is the Launch Trailer, which - as you can expect - is not a good viewing experience to anyone with a healthy fear of getting stabbed.
I have to admit, the trailer is really well done, and gets me more excited for this game than I ever was for the first. However, if you feel the same way, it might be good to curb that enthusiasm, slightly, because here's where the bad news comes in: the game is going to launch with a Day 1 patch.
A 9 GB Day 1 patch.
Now, that's not the world's biggest Day 1 patch, and it's actually possible to avoid by playing the game offline (assuming you have the disk), but still, it's a pretty big annoyance for people with limited memory or data limits on their internet. So, be ready for that.
And that's it! Hope you enjoy slitting throats and crushing skulls tomorrow! Just remember I was rooting for you the whole time. Yep.
