Sometimes seeing a great piece of history surface is exciting. However, what's more exciting is the fact that said piece of history is releasing, especially when it was presumed to be cancelled. A couple of days ago, we witnessed the announcement of a DICE title that didn't quite make it to store shelves.
Want a bit more background? Well, in 1994, a sideways-scrolling 2D shoot 'em up was developed for the Amiga, Sega Mega Drive Genesis and the Sega Mega-CD. However, just as the development team was wrapping up this game, the whole process was suddenly placed on hold. Beforehand, it gained traction from being previewed in gaming magazines.
Unfortunately, DICE had moved onto developing other titles, and the game quietly sunk into its dark hold, never to see the light of day...
That is, until now.
Well it was announced that Strictly Limited Games, publisher of PlayStation 4 and Vita titles, will be bringing Hardcore (working title), from its 25 year slumber to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2019.
Amazing, isn't it?
You can check out the trailer below and get hyped for a game that is finally being released.
