Diablo 3 Necromancer Cinematic Intro Revealed

It seems these days the only thing you hear out of Blizzard relates to Overwatch, Hearthstone, and occasionally Heroes of the Storm. That makes enough sense: they might be a pretty big company with only a few games in their care, but theyre all massive undertakings and some are certainly more reliant on a steady flow of content than others. The largely single-player Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 would be prime examples, so when its time to make new content, those two are typically put at the bottom of the priority pile. Such is business.

But there is one bit of content that Diablo 3 fans have been wanting for a long time: the Necromancer class. First announced last year (eight months ago, in fact), Blizzard has been teasing and taunting fans with this upcoming character for a good long while. And last Friday weve got another tease, with the male and female version of the character getting their intro cinematics released.




 

Join the enigmatic Necromancer as s/he begins her/his journey to Tristram to investigate the Fallen Star.

The Necromancer will be released to players come Patch 2.16, which will also have several new cosmetic options, two new character tabs, and two new slash tabs. While fans might be hoping the launch date is soon, Blizzard has yet to announce it, so hope is all you really have. How poignant.
