The original The Legend of Zelda in 3D... well, unfortunately it has never occurred on the 3DS as a 3D Classic, but it is available. Straight. From. Your. Browser.
That's right, this year, people are celebrating 30 years of The Legend of Zelda, and a pair of developers, named Scott and Matt, have been hard at work developing a 3D version of the original The Legend of Zelda, dubbing it The Legend of Zelda: 30 Year Tribute. It's voxel-based 3D style, and it's been developed using WebGL.
This game is absolutely free and can be found on the following website. You can either play it in-browser by either using the on-screen controller (which resembles the NES controller), or by using the keyboard. For computers, it's a safe bet to use the keyboard, but for phones, you're better off using the on-screen controller. Still, the project is downright amazing, featuring 3D Dot Game Heroes-esque appearances. Unfortunately, it doesn't even seem close to finished, as there are a lot of areas that come with a "this isn't finished" sign.
Hopefully this will see a finishing, but Nintendo has been known to rain on peoples' parades and thus has been known to tear down the games. Then again, it's a business, and it needs to protect its rights. Either way, you may want to hurry in on playing the game, just in case.
