Destiny's 2.0 update has been enjoyable and what fans have wanted for the past year, according to forums and comments all over the internet. Even more so, people are enjoying the preview of the new PvP mode Rift. But what about Mayhem mode? Where has that been? For those who have been waiting, the wait is no more. The exciting Mayhem mode has been made available today as of 10 AM PST/1 PM EST.

For those unaware, Mayhem is like any PvP take-down-the-opponent mode, except on crack. By that, melee moves, ammo, grenades, and Supers recharge quickly, meaning everything will be out of control. In fact, it's so over the top, this mode shouldn't even be taken seriously. However, whether it will stay or not will be another story. Lars Bakken, Design lead, notes that Bungie will be collecting feedback from players on the mode. If people like it, it will stay. That simple.

The Taken King will launch on September 15. Unfortunately, once the expansion hits, the new PvP modes will become unavailable to those that do not own the expansion.
