Japanese commercials are often quirky and impactful, leaving an impression that may influence a viewer's decision or at least leave a temporary mark on their heart. Japanese video game commercials are no exception. Take a look at the new Destiny: The Taken King commercial. Be forewarned, it won't be in the slightest serious. In fact, it will be so over the top and crazy that you can't help but laugh.

This commercial features a guardian who shoves the idea of protecting humanity--literally--into the faces of his friends. He also shouts into a washing machine. Yeah... this video takes place in a laundromat, but I'm sure you've already noticed. The setting is not some CGI-crafted area in Phobos. Nope, just a laundromat.

And for good measure, if you need some serious to balance the humor, here's the live action trailer for The Taken King, also released today:

Talk about a flood of Destiny content, now that the release of The Taken King is just over the horizon. Nevertheless, Destiny's first expansion will release September 15, 2015, featuring a new leveling system, new PvP modes, more story, Nolanbot, a new subclass, and much more.
