Dead Rising 4 WILL Probably Come to PS4, Eventually

Maybe.

Dead Rising, that series that's actually rather good even though we keep forgetting about it, has been a Microsoft "thing" for as long as it's been around. While the first one technically came out for the Wii, and the second one had a PS3 launch as well, all of the games were made a big deal and advertised most by Microsoft and Xbox, who made the third game a complete console exclusive until the PC version came out later.

So, it's a Microsoft property in reputation, if not technically, and when we heard over E3 that Dead Rising 4 was an Xbox One exclusive, well, no one really batted an eyelash at that. Sounded about right, and since Xbox and Windows 10 have that new cross-buy thing, most people made the logical jump that it would be showin' up in the Windows store as well.

However, while Microsoft was more than happy to announce it had scored an exclusive, it very quickly put a little side-bar on that: because yes, while this is an exclusive deal between Microsoft and Capcom, it's also a timed one: and that within the span of 90 days, the game would show up on other online retailers (like Steam), while a year from now, the 'console exclusivity' would be over (so a PS4 version, presumably). So, if you're a fan but you have a PS4 for some reason, don't worry--you'll just have to hold on to that eagerness, passion, and avoid spoilers, for another extra year. That's not so bad, right?

Just hold on tight, buds. It'll come soon. In the meantime, if you desperately want some Zombie action, try "Days Gone," perhaps?
