Dead Rising 1 and 2 coming to PC and PS4

Dead Rising is one of those weird games where it's fairly well known and liked well enough, but it's hard to say anything concrete about it, because it's success is largely due to the fact that everything it does--from combat to story--is so safe and by the numbers that there's not much to say about it. Which is bad for me, but, hell, we don't need good openings for every story, especially since this one is pretty cut-and-dry.

The first Dead Rising game, where you play Frank West beating his way through a big ol' mall trying to uncover the secret behind the zombie outbreak, and the second, where something else happens, is getting one of those big ol' fancy remakes for the PS4 and the PC soon, giving you the opportunity to play the game from the very beginning before you step into Frank West's shoes one more time in the upcoming Dead Rising 4.

"Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon,"

Now, if this is going to be an HD remake is up to question, but I don't see why it wouldn't be: Xbox 360 graphics aren't bad, but they certainly aren't great by today's standards, and we'd appreciate a touch-up of ol' Frank West's grimy face.

No news on when this will come out, but presumably it'll be before December 9th, which is the launch of Dead Rising 4 for Windows 10.
