Dauntless to Enter Open Beta Soon

The co-op action-RPG, by Phoenix Labs, is finally making its way to the full public. Dauntless has been in a closed-alpha since August 18, 2017, but now the developers have stated that the game will be entering an open beta phase on May 24 of this year. Already having gained considerable traction, the closed beta had over 100,000 players, with an additional 700,000 people having signed up for the open beta.

Dauntless takes place on the Shattered Isles. This land is lousy with large monsters. You as a player are given the task of thinning out their colossal numbers, while also using resources harvested from the beasts to craft weapons and armor. It's comparable to the recently released Monster Hunter: World.

Phoenix Labs co-founder and CEO Jesse Houston had this to say:

"Dauntless is more than four years in the making, and we can't wait for everyone to join us in the Shattered Isles, team up with friends, take on Behemoths, craft epic gear and bring the world to life. As we close in on our next phase of this adventure, we thank our passionate community that has been with us from day-one, providing feedback and helping craft the experience into what it is today."
