Darksiders III Official Reveal Trailer and Information

Early in the morning on May 2nd, the Amazon product listing accidentally leaked the reveal for Darksiders III on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Later on in the day, the developer THQ Nordic officially announced Darksiders III and even included a reveal trailer. Now, we are not sure if Amazon made a mistake here or if they were instructed to do this, thinking that nobody would notice. Regardless, the game is officially on its way, accident or not.

In the new Darksiders installment, you will be taking on the role of Fury, a mage who is the sister of the four horsemen. She uses a magical whip, as well as her magical powers, to defeat enemies and keep the balance between good and evil. The game will be a living, breathing, free-form environment where Fury can move back and forth between different lands to uncover secrets and advance the storyline.

The game is set for release in 2018, but no specific date has been announced yet. THQ Nordic gave an official overview of the game stating:

Return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action adventure where players take on the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore humanity and prove that she is the most powerful of the Horsemen. As a mage, FURY relies on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil. The expansive, Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth that is dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. FURY will move back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the Darksiders III story.

IGN has the official reveal trailer for Darksiders III and will be doing a month-long coverage of the game starting in May as a part of their IGN First series.
