Hrm, a Dark Souls game featuring a mouse? This I have to see. Introducing DarkMaus, which is is a hardcore game festering with top-down hardcore play, gore, and a UI that's oddly similar to Dark Souls. But who are you facing in this world as an itty bitty gritty mouse? Well, you're challenging other mice, spiders, and more. Maybe even a cat or two. But what's more interesting is the mechanic Death Echo:

"Each time you die, an ally ghost is summoned that retraces your steps, fighting by your side. With time you can collect multiple ally ghosts and choose their weapons for extra strategy opportunities."

Hrm, this mechanic is becoming a bit more common lately.

The game also claims to be a worthy challenge for players:

"Combat in DarkMaus is thoughtful and skill based. Enemies force you to be reactive to survive, and punish any greedy moves or mistakes. You'll start out swearing that it's impossible, and end up a god among Mäuse."

Either way, if you're in the mood for a Dark Type Souls game and this seems up your alley, you can hit the official Steam page here, which has garnered pretty positive reviews thus far. Keep in mind though that the game is best suited for an Xbox Controller.
