I'm sure you're excited about the upcoming Dark Souls: Remaster. If you can't wait until its release date of May 25, then now's your chance. Bandai Namco has announced a network test for the game that will take place later this month on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Right now, interested individuals can download the network test client from their respective console markets. The client will be available until May 8 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. After this, those who downloaded will be able to play as part of the network test taking place on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, from 6 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. PDT each day.
The test area is limited to the Undead Parish, which comes as no surprise. The main purpose of this event is to test out the cooperative summoning and hostile invasion features of the game. While the original Dark Souls was limited to four players (one friend and three invaders, or two friends and two invaders), the remaster will be capable of up to six players at a time.
After this event, you'll have to wait for the Dark Souls: Remaster's official release date of May 25. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game has been delayed and will release at a later date.
