Miss the dance of the mambo, but have no way to participate in meatspace? Well, what if the mambo could be found in video gaming? Well, it can with The Dangerous Kitchen's premiere title De Mambo.

Born and raised in the lobby of a West London hotel, De Mambo is seeking your help on Kickstarter to grow into an upstanding, responsible game. That said, The Dangerous Kitchen urges you to give the game your lunch money, raid your sofa for loose change, and steal candy from babies to sell on the corner.

Why? Because The Dangerous Kitchen promises a fast-paced, single-screen action platformer for up to four players. With a multiplayer that is minimalistically akin to Super Smash Bros., De Mambo also features a single-player mode that can be labeled as "Zelda 2 meets Warioware." Of course, there are also more gameplay modes in development.

The Dangerous Kitchen is seeking £15,000 ($22,784) for the purpose of expediting the development, adding more content, and enhancing the quality of De Mambo. Though this shouldn't exactly be mentioned, there's also a loan shark--Sharkor--looming over the developer's heads.

Currently, this game can be made for the price of a coffee per day. So with that logic and according to Designer and Producer Lucy Dove, "Since we're doing this for a price of a coffee a day, the money we raise will allow us to get two cups of coffee and a cake."

Retry-styled De Mambo sends you into a single screen with up to three other players locked in an "infinite mambo!" The goal is to knock your opponent off the screen *coughSmashBroscough* utilizing your one action button and three levels of charge.

Below you can find the game's features:
  • One Button Action - The type of gameplay that's easy to learn, hard to master, players are limited to one action button and the D-Pad
  • Multiplayer - If you're wanting to go all out with a group of friends Smash Bros. style, De Mambo will allow you to do just that
  • Loser Rail - In case you sucked, you're given a second chance to claim victory
  • Flimsy Architecture - Feel like destroying ALL THE ENVIRONMENTS!? Well, in De Mambo, you can!
De Mambo is expected to release in 2016 for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Linux, though there are hopes to drag the game kicking and screaming onto the Xbox One and Wii U.

If you're interested in playing the demo for De Mambo or ready to throw stolen money at the campaign, you can head to the official Kickstarter page here. Of course, you are also welcome to give them a hearty thumbs up on their Steam Greenlight page. Currently, there is $8958 pledged of a $22,784 goal with 29 days to go, so hopefully they will be able to reach their goal by the end of this week.

"From the makers of absolutely nothing..."

That made me laugh WAY too hard.
