E3 is a time for announcements, bit and small, and during Microsoft's press conference today we got an exciting, but very very small announcement: the long-awaited indie game Cuphead finally has an official release date.

Let's look at the trailer.

The all-cartoon Magical Wondergame! Cuphead will be available on September 29th for Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam!

Yep, you heard it right, September 29th. While the real draw of this game has to be the art style, the gameplay itself, where you run around maps trying to find new and better weapons in order to survive an onslaught of colorful bosses, sounds like a cool mix of MegaMan and Castlevania.

Even better, the game will launch under Microsoft's Play Anywhere program, so getting it for either Xbox One or PC (which it's an exclusive for, sorry) will mean you can play it on the other for free.

Not bad at all.
