Devolver Digital Films has officially announced the release date of its cult movie title Motivational Growth on the Steam Storenext.

When is it?

Tomorrow, of course! The film will appear on the store at 9:00 AM PST for a sale price of $4.79, 40% off the original price of $7.99. The indie comedy/sci-film draws inspiration from video games and features Jeffrey Combs, Adrian DiGiovanni, and Danielle Doetsch. The story follows Ian Folivor, a reclusive man who attempts suicide in his bathroom after his television, named Kent, blows a fuse. However, after the failure, Ian comes across a talking mold. The Mold takes on the role of Ian's life coach and helps the man rebuild his life in a more positive manner. However, his TV soon begins to send strange messages about The Mold's true intentions...

This title has actually seen previous releases back in 2013, at the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival and the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, in 2014, as a DVD & Blu-ray release in Canada, and in February of 2015 as a DVD. The US Blu-ray will be released on April 21st, 2015.

In reference to the DRM-free Steam release, Devolver Digital Co-Founder and Partner Mike Wilson says:

This moment is largely why Devolver started picking up great indie films off the festival circuit two years ago. We believe the global community of discovery and curation that exists on Steam and had allowed indie game development to flourish could become the best thing to ever happen to digital film distribution as well.

You will be able to find and purchase the film here. In the meantime, take a peek at the trailer below.
