EA hasn’t done much to earn much love lately, or even much to earn forgiveness for it’s many transgressions in the past (maybe you can say using the EA Curse to get Ronda Rousey knocked out was a good thing…?) but at least they haven’t done anything new to earn a fresh layer of hate, right?

I mean, except the whole “Battlefront is half a game and you need a 50 dollar season pass for the other half” thing, but at least they’re releasing free maps as well, so… that evens out…?

Point is, EA might not be the most beloved company, but Origin remains a fairly solid service, and this week, EA’s got a real special surprise for people with Origin accounts (or people willing to get one) and a love of nostalgia. For the free Origin game being offered now is none other than the cult classic Jade Empire. The special edition, to boot.

It’s easy. All you have to do is have an Origin Account, click this link and then ‘download now’, assuming you’re signed in with your Origin Account. That’s all you have to do! It’s not DRM free or anything, but still… it’s a free game! And a damn good one to boot.

So grab that fast, because this one might not last very long at all.
